Commercially produced Bermuda Sherry Peppers commenced with
Yeaton and his cousin Robbie Outerbridge back in 1964.
At first they made just enough for friends and folks who came to
Robbie's Harbourfront restaurant and "couldn't live without
it." The demand has
grown amazingly over the
years but it has remained a cottage industry presided over by Yeaton
Outerbridge (YDO to his friends). Requests
come from all over the world for the unique sherry peppers sauce.
A gentleman in Brazil orders a half dozen of the chef's size
Original Sherry Peppers every few months.
A check arrived recently for $50 with a note attached. "Send me as much of the treasured sauce as this will
cover as soon as possible," said the urgent request.
